Each field is comprised of separate departments. Conversely, a department is a research- academic unit that is responsible for the creation, transmission and  application of knowledge within a specific discipline or sub-discipline in the following way:
  • For the creation of knowledge, research programs and projects are carried out;
  • For the transmission of knowledge, the department offers- either on its own or in conjunction with other sections-  undergraduate, postgraduate, or continuing education courses in a discipline or sub-discipline;
