Carlos Calderon Cordova was born in 1983, Ecuador. He received the B.S. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Universidad Tecnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), Ecuador, in 2006. He received the M.S. degree in electromechanical engineering. He has been a Lecturer with the Electronics and Telecommunications Faculty, and a Researcher with the Department of Computer Science and Electronics, UTPL, since 2006. His current research interests include robotics, control systems, instrumentation, and measurement systems. He is an active member of IEEE for 8 years, and member of Control Systems and Robotics and Automation societies. He has led and has participated for sixteen (16) research, development, and innovation major projects; in these projects have participated both government institutions and non-governmental organizations as funders, co-executors, and beneficiaries. He has published twenty five (25) papers in journals and international conferences indexed in Scopus/Web of Science. Mr. Calderon-Cordova received the awards to the Scientific Merit, granted by the Mayor and the Provincial Government of Loja; he also received the recognition Ecuador Innova to the technological innovation merit, granted by the Vice-President of the Republic of Ecuador.
